7 Of the Best Sneakers to Add to Your Collection in 2022

by admin

It’s a brand new year. And you know what that means, right? Another opportunity to fill your sneaker collection with some brand new sneakers.

All the big brands have upcoming drops in 2022. New collaborations are likely to hit the market that none of us saw coming.

But there are probably quite a few pairs you missed out on last year, too. In light of the new drops, you may be able to get a sweet deal on some of the best sneakers from last year.

So if you’re looking for advice on how to best use your upcoming tax return to buy sneakers, we’ll cover some of the best options of the year down below.

1.Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG

Looking to keep it simple in 2022? Check out the Air Jordan and Tavis Scott collab.

Travis Scott has been keeping a low profile since the tragedy at the Astroworld festival back in November. During his concert, masses of people were rushing forward, and nine people lost their lives in the chaos.

Of course, the music artist isn’t to blame for these events. Either way, he has been out of the public eye for the past few months, especially since many of his other partnerships and events have been canceled or postponed, as a result.

As we enter 2022, however, we see his first major event since then is the Air Jordan collab.

The sneakers offer a reverse mocha colorway, that creates a clean, minimalist vibe. On the back of one shoe is the Air Jordan logo and on the back of the other is the Travis Scott logo.

2.Louis Vuitton x Off-White x Nike Air Force 1

These sneakers represent the perfect intersection between streetwear, sneakers, and high fashion.

Virgil Abloh, the founder of Off White, recently passed away unexpectedly, as he had been privately fighting cancer. But he was able to witness the Air Force 1’s make it down the runway with high-end furnishings from Louis Vuitton and design elements from Off White.

Of course, the shoes will be out of reach for most buyers, as the starting price is already quite high. To get a chance at claiming a pair, you’ll need to bid on them online.

3.Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs”

This year, you’ll be able to cop a pair of the Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs” for the first time since they were released in 2012. These were the shoes that Michael Jordan wore during one of his last seasons, 1996/1997 when he dominated the playoffs.

It was originally designed by Tinker Hatfield. And the colorway was only available for purchase that year, as well as in 2004 and 2012.

But in February 2022, the masterpiece of the AJ12s in the reverse black colorways is one to pay attention to.

4.Adidas Yeezy 1050

Nike isn’t the only brand coming in big in 2022. The Yeezy lineup from Adidas is bound to impress as well.

The Yeezy 1050 is the shoe of the future. Some might think they look like space boots. And they’d be half right. These shoes are evolutionary as they are transforming the perception of what shoes can be.

Some will hate the shoes. But everyone will look back at these shoes in the future and recognize that they caused a footwear revolution.

And while the 1050s should be on your radar, don’t forget about all of the Adidas Originals Yeezy shoes that are still worth picking up, if you haven’t already.

5.Prada x Adidas Re-Nylon Forum Low and High

Looking to catch a new trend before it comes mainstream? Check out the Prada and Adidas collab. Another high-fashion brand looking to make its way into the sneaker industry.

The all-black colorway creates a seemingly simple aesthetic. Yet the shoes exude class and style. And of course, an attached coin pouch on the front of the shoe makes it feel like you’re walking down the runway of a fashion show.

And the two brands may have partnered with A$AP Rocky to announce the shoes to the world, suggesting future collaborations.

6.Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Sunde

Looking for a pair of kicks that make you feel like you’re in a video game, or on an anime show? look no further than the collab between Comme des Garçons and Nike Air.

These shoes feature a one-of-a-kind look that we have only seen in the digital world before. And unbeknownst to many, these two brands have a long history together.

They work together every year to put out new products to move the industry forward, surprising even the most diehard sneakerheads.

If you are looking to collect sneakers that will be worth a ton in the future, make sure to pick up a pair of these if you’re able to.

7.JJJJound x New Balance 990v3

It would be very easy to create a huge list of upcoming sneaker drops and only list Nike shoes. But not everyone who wants to purchase sneakers needs another pair of Nikes.

If that’s you, check out the slick New Balance collabs with JJJJound. They are a design studio based in Montreal, Canada. They are the ones who helped New Balance launch the 990v3 silhouette in the first place.

And it’s this design that put New Balance on the radar of many sneaker collectors who didn’t see any other brands outside of Nike and Adidas.

And while the shoe itself is simple compared to many of the other sneakers coming out this year, the simplicity is powerful. And the forest green colorway with cream-colored accents is making these shoes a lot more vibrant than they have been in the past.

Plus, the New Balance shoes are known to be very comfortable, excellent for long walks or days spent hopping from one airport to the next.

What Will Be Your First Pair in 2022?

There are so many amazing sneakers coming out this year that it is very difficult to call any particular pair the best sneakers. And there will countless pairs last year that blew up the sneaker world.

There’s never going to be a shortage of shoes to purchase next. The question is which one will you pick up first?
